Parental Consent for Child & Adolescent Sessions

If you are booking an appointment for a client under the age of 18, as parent or legal guardian you accept the following.

Consent

You give consent, as parent/guardian, for your child/ward to take part in the psychological counseling process.

Confidentiality and Information Balance

Session content is kept confidential to an extent appropriate to the child's/adolescent's age and developmental stage; a verbatim transcript of the session is not shared, in order to protect the client's trust. However, as a parent you are informed about the general course of the process, progress, and any risk situations.

Emergency Notification

In emergencies such as a risk of the child/adolescent harming themselves or others, the parent/guardian and, where necessary, the competent authorities are notified immediately, as required by professional ethics and legal obligations.

Withdrawing Consent

You may withdraw this consent at any time by notifying [email protected]; in that case, the ongoing session process will be ended.
